Best thing to do is have a look in the Show Off thread.

You have some decisions to make before you start buying parts:

    24" or 26" wheels
    Steel or Aluminum
    Gears or Single Speed

Are you concerned about weight at all?

Put your money in the frame then work from there.

I'd suggest the Union St. Molly Maguire or Tonic Fab Fall Guy. (the USB is cheaper I believe)

Fork :find a Firefly or Flick for cheap and lower it to 80mm (or maybe a fuzz less)
Wheels : go beefy, Sun BFR 24" hoops and Odyssey Hazard hubs should be nice w/o breaking the bank
Cranks :Ive had great luck with FSA Nasty Boys, strong and cheap
BB : Go to Albe's.com and get the Spanish Fly ($19 but only for the USB since it uses it)
Pedals :whatever...Sun Zuzu's or Odyssey Cielinki
Post/Saddle: I swear by my Macniel post/Capital seat combo (no more bent rails or squeaks
Brakes : just one in back, Tech77 lever and 990 brake (very cheap)
Stem/bars : do what you will here, I use a SIC stem and Deity bars (not cheap).
Tires: Kenda Kinitptions all the way.

Thats it really, if you go USB, you can probably get this built up for less than a grand and have a killer dj/urban rig.

Look at the Eastern26 completes, the Night Train in particular.

BlackMarket is also hitting the market with two completes soon. one just above, and one just below the $1k mark...
