    Cable threading for barspins

What's the name of that thing that you use so that you can thread your front brake line through the headtube? It's some kind of hollow bolt or something but I can't remember what it's called...

A hollow headset preload bolt. I don't think there's a special name for it.

No, that's for the rear. He's talking about the hollow bolt that goes ontop of your stem.

Soviet, check your LBS or a close BMX shop.

are you talking about a detangler type thing? so you can spin the bar without the cables getting twisted? I think you can pick them up for fairly cheap.

The detangler is for a rear brake.

He's needing a hollow bolt for the "end cap" that goes on the top of the steer tube. It allows the front brake cable to be routed down through the top of the steer tube and out at the bottom of the steer tube, routed down the fork leg and to the brake.

Go to a LBS that sales BMX parts. They should be able to help.

The correct technical term is "Potts Mod". Named after the BMXer that first did it. Chris Potts. Readily available from any LBS/mailorder that does BMX.

I heard it called a star nut even tho it's a bolt. $13 seems a bit steep.

    Possibly.
The star nut is what that bolt threads into. If the bolt has a larger diameter then yep, new star nut would be required.
