    Breaking in a new bike

Single speed, brand new. First couple rides my chain was firm, now it's as if something loosened up but I can't see from where. Any ideas? Or is this normal?

Also, advice on taking out spacers in the front stem? It seems pretty high, but do I want my bars sitting a little higher for any good reason?

    thanks

Your chain will start to stretch. It happens.
Does your bar height feel comfortable to you? If it does then leave it alone.
The officer saw the words, "This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb" and became concerned.

Either your chain has streched or your hweel has shifted around slightly in the drop-outs. Are you using QR?

Take it to the shop. Have them run through it.

no qr, and wheel didn't shift as far as I can tell. taking it in tomorrow.

as far as bar height goes I guess I'll have to ride more, still getting used to things.
