    Argyle 318 question

Got my Eastern Night Train earlier this week. The "manual" for the fork doesn't have a guide for setting the compression or rebound. Any hints on this? This is my first Rock Shox. I am used to Fox where they give you starting points in the manual.

    Thanks

Rebound is on the bottom of the right stantion(small knob) and the compression is on the top. Rebound, can't remember which way to turn it but just mess around with it and find your preference. The compression turns clockwise to make it more rigid. All the way to the right is lockout.

SRAM has their manuals online. Here are the manuals for the Argyle.

Well, I set mine up by turning the compression to lock out, then I backed it off two "clicks". As for rebound, ride the bike off a curb with your full weight on it. If the front wheel hops reduce the rebound. Trial and error worked for me.

I run my fork fairly stiff with less rebound. I've found less rebound keeps the forks from rebounding as I pop off a lip, and the same with landings.

    Good luck.
