    adjusting horiz. dropouts with r.deraileur?

Ive got a 2006 P3 with adjustable horizontal dropouts.
they basically have these adjustable screws that determine how *deep* into the horiz. drop out you want to allow the axle.
Right now my chain stay is about 16.125" (center of crank bolt to axle with a measuring tape)

i think i could knock off close to 1/2" depending on how the tire fits but my question is will this affect anything in the drivetrain as far as the rear deraileur or even the rear disc brake?

And i know it will technically mean i could lose a chain link or something is there anything substantial i should watch for?

do it, you will encounter no problems. to the best of my knowledge, the derailleur hangar and brake mounts move relative to the axle...

    did it.

im impressed how noticeable the difference is, nothing life changing, but for 1/2" a part of me didnt expect to notice anything.
