2008 Eastern Thunderbird frame with 14mm dropouts NEED HELP!

I just picked up a 08 Eastern frame that runs 135mm x 14mm instead of 135mm x 10mm Does anyone have experience with 3/8 to 14mm adapters? What kind? or any other suggestions to help make this work? Thanks.

There are different types of adapters. Some are just a step-up washer that goes in the dropout slot. I have used these and they work fine.

    Like this:

Others are like a 1 1/2 inch hollow threaded tube that you thread over the 3/8" axle....

Note that mtb hubs have 10mm axles , whereas bmx have 3/8" (which is 9.5mm), so the threading is not compatible.

PROFILE AXLE ADAPTORS (3/8" TO 14mm)

Do you have any good recommendations for a 14mm hub or even better a 14mm wheelset? If they exist?
