    XCE sizing ?

Is a 19.5 to big for someone 5'8" (my wife) with say a 70 or 90mm stem?

    Thanks

    No, that's not phonetic

Barny is 5'6" and rides a small XCE. I guess I could cram her onto a medium, but the standover on the small is better and she likes a 100-110 stem with it. I'm 5'11" and ride a large XCE. 5'8" seems awfully petite to be on a large. Find one under a leaf pile?

She will get a lot more bang for the buck from a bike which fits like a glove, imo. I'd hold out for a medium...

Very true, but it still seems like a good buy for someone. Who knows what it will do between now and when it finishesthough . Plus it would be at least 3-4 lbs heavier than her idrive race.

I'm guessing that's the one I'm selling (polished 2000 frame). At 5' 8", yeah, the large is going to be too big, I'd look for a medium or small. I usually size frames by the effective top tube length, and the 19.5" is 23.5" which is probably way to long for her.

    Oz,

Do a search in the classifieds. I found this medium, http://classifieds.consumerreview.co...uery=retrieval, this morning and I believe there are a few others from a couple of weeks ago.

... in case you wanted a bare frame with a few parts.

I'm 5'8" and ride a 'Small' XCE which could be a Medium for other bike companies. XCE's were sized as 16.5, 18, 19.5 etc instead of SM Med and Large. I fit on a 17" frame and the 16.5" XCE matched other companies 'Medium' bike's geometry.

    Endo,

Let me know If you're ever interested in selling it. I'm currently looking for a small XCE for my wife.

    Thanks,
    Crash

The stock rear RC on my 2002 XCE is due for some maintainance and I have been wondering if I should Push it. Any feed-back ?

BTW I am running Marz Atom 100 in front.

    Cheers.

I'm a little confused, but that typically goes without saying. Sell what to whom? If it's me you're attempting to tease it's working.
