Wanna Make Me Sell the Rehab? I say No, No, No.

Freshly Refurbed '04 Spot in Black Smoke. They'd have to pry it outta my grimy dead hands.

    Thanks Greg and Turner.

Thanks Doods. The HL Spot is like a '63 Split Window Vette. There is other faster stuff out there, but it still rips in all respects including aethestics.

Tidy, it was all I could do just lovingly installing a CK BB, pressing in the Cane Creek 110, and slotting the Enduro Needle Bearings late into the night. Had to stop for a cigarette, and I don't even smoke.

My name is Moose, and I gotta problem.

Looks great! I just sent my 04 5spot off to Turner to get refurbished. Have yet to decide on a color.

    Reburb 5

    Nice 5 Spot!

I just had my '06 5 Spot reburbished. Had trouble deciding on the color, then went with the granny smith green & sparkle silver.

Ready for MOAB in July. Any suggestions on trails...I will only have 5 days of riding there.

    Later, Mac

28 pounds!?! My '04 spot is a pig at 31. Guess I better start buying some carbon rims, cranks, pedals, seatpost, handlebars, yadda yadda....

Crap, my beloved old skool Spot got lifted earlier this week. I was stoopid enough to leave it locked in my car in the driveway and unlucky enough that some bonehead swiped it.

    Stolen Horse

Wanted to let Homer Nation know about the stolen goods. She may have been old, but this was her second painstaking rebuild in a short 3 1/2 seasons, and she's kitted with nearly all new shiz.

EDIT: Another huge thanks to Greg and Turner, they kept my serial numbers: BB last four digits 0237, seat stay last four digits 0735, chain stay last four digits 0157.

So Moose, what are you going to do? Do you have insurance that will cover the loss?

    Sorry Moose, bummer.

To me, this is where our arabic friends have got things right. People do things like this, they get their hands cut off. So much for two finger braking then, eh?

Dude totally sux, not even bolted down now is safe!

To me that sort of thing has een scoped out, not random, may even be closer to home than u think!

We had a guys Nicolai stolen here a year or so back, not another one like it here!

The other day the munter took it into the shop that sold it for some repairs, neeldess to say the owner got the cops onto the guy while he was buying coffee next door, thats what ya get when ya don;t buy coffee from the bike shop lol

And the owner has been re u nited with his pride and joy, nice story ending.

Still these guys need to hung by the sack they call balls, cause anyone who does that has no real balls!

And just need floggin to death, VC style!

Hope ya get a good news story Moosey,

I never let my baby out of my sight, but still I know it can happen, pray that it doesn't, but I pity the fool if I ever catch up with them, lots of **** to get rid of and that would be a great outlet lol

    Good luck bro..

thanks doods. i think TA's right, feels like a local heist from punk neighbors. we'll see. got good advice to file a police report, as they apparently find stolen bikes in certain storefronts down the line.

rene, not sure on insurance yet, but i'm test driving the dwl spot later this weekend, and will give a go on some others including the endo and maybe spitty due to your comments along with nybike's and tisser's. interested to see, but didn't envision it coming about like this.

man, i loved that bike. it was so dialed, thanks largely to this board. part of me is concerned there is not a better setup (for me) but that's just crazy talk.
