    Vector Coil on Small RFX?

Did a search (briefly on google) to see if the X-fusion Vector Coil has been mounted up successfully on a small RFX frame? I couldn't find anything. I emailed X-fusion, and they thought it would NOT fit, which was surprising to hear as the big CCDB coil seems to fit. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    what year RFX?
The older frames fit the reservoirs but they don't make vector coil in 7.5 x 2. The newer rfx's are a tighter fit, maybe the shock can be flipped.

2008. I am surprised the giant CCDB will fit but the vector won't.

I am surprised no one is running this set-up. Only one way to find out then...

No one at all? I know a few guys out there are running the HLR air from other threads, but they don't mention their frame size. Anyone running it on a small frame? It looks like the reservoir is roughly the same length as the coil. Anyone know for sure? I guess I may be looking at the chubie instead.

I fitted a DHX 5 coil on my small RFX before. If you can compare the specs to the Xfusion shock, you may get a rough estimate if it fits.

Thanks! The reservoir never kissed the down tube?

Nope. Never kissed it on my small RFX.

On my DW Spot, I had to take out the blue bottom out knob so nothing would hit.

Anyone know of a vendor that would sell me a vector coil to mount up and see if it fits and return if it doesn't? I tried bikeco but it is a special order item so they can't take it back on return unfortunately.

I did email them. They said to talk to Turner regarding fitment. Turner said they would not be able to tell if it would mount up, and to try and get a hold of one to see if it fits. Bikeco said they wouldn't take one back on return...so still looking for other vendors. I did email X-fusion but they are so swamped with orders it takes them a bit to get back. Thought I'd try here while waiting.

Try Go-Ride. Not sure if they still do this, but they had shock trials for $50. You can put it towards the final cost if you decide to keep it.
