    Turner pivot position

    Hey,

looks like on the turner website the flux rear triangle pivot position is on the upper legs. I've seen reviews with photos that is showing it on the lower leg (where it should be). Any insight on this one? Thanks

Fool. Everybody knows the pivot is best placed on the upper leg, since the femur is much stronger than either the tibia or fibula.

True 'dat. Just ask Joe Paterno.

    OP...are you Gonzo?

If yes - what kosmo said.

If no - giving you the benefit of the doubt.

The bottom line is if the pivot is on the upper leg, your frame is a single pivot frame; just rotating around the main pivot, not very efficient.

I think if Turner had moved the pivot point, there would have been at least some discussion about it.

A gonzoesque reply if I ever read one. How many new aliases is that now, six?

    cc, you got the list?

And no, I'm still not gonzo, either.

Turner has moved the pivot you can see it on old reviews of the flux with photos. The reason looks quite simple: no patent to pay anymore for having the pivot on the down leg. The wheels are now bound to the main pivot with a stick: not cool...

Gonzo has moved his alias to bayule, you can see it in his writing style. The reason looks quite simple: No nads to own up to his previously outted personas. His trolling is now bound to a new nick on the same old shtick...not cool...

Someone should summon 29Colossus, his presence usually ties Gonzo up for a while.

Regardless of bayoule's personna, his assertion is basically correct.
A four-bar style bicycle should have a horst-link (chainstay) pivot, not seatstay,
as this decouples the suspension from pedaling torque.
