No booth. Turner bikes were dispalyed at Enve. Enve also had a few at the ODD.

Hopefully we get some fresh new Ano colors to select from this year.
I have owned several ball burnished/polished Turners and find them beautiful and a PIA to keep looking that way. The ANo finish is superior IMO.

I rode the Czar at the Outdoor Demo which I picked up at the Enve booth. Great bike.
I saw a Sultan and Burner but totally forgot to look for the Flux 650b (oops, I mean 27.5" as per Dave's interview). It was even on my list. D'Oh. My bad.

Not as comprehensive a review as KRob, but here it goes...

The only bike I rode at the Outdoor Demo was a Flux that I took out for about a 25-30 minute ride (demo route 5 for anyone that was there). In general, it's a great trail bike that I think could be built light enough to race. For both being 120mm travel bikes, it's amazing how different the Sultan and Flux ride. The Flux is much snappier pedaling and quicker handling than the Sultan. Even my Czar didn't feel as snappy under acceleration as the Flux. Once up to speed, the Czar maintains its momentum better than the Flux. It would be fun to ride the 2 back-to-back for a better comparison.

I didn't push the Flux too hard on the descents and in the turns because I was afraid of re-introducing my skin to the Bootleg Canyon cheese grater rocks. In general, it felt comfortable on the descents when I wasn't worried about whether the tires were going to maintain traction on the loose pumice in the turns.

It would be nice to take the demo bike out for an extended ride in an area that did not punish you so badly for falling off the bike.

Momentum, Snappy, stable, quicker, acceleration, different. One thing is for sure, 275 is not 29 and versa vicey....

That's a really interesting observation. With the frame weights coming out roughly the same for the Flux and Czar, you could build the Flux up as a racebike, and spend the money saved on some superlight racewheels....it might suit the tight and stop-start acceleration type of course we have here in the southwest of the UK....And make a great trail bike with heavier wheels for non-race day.

How did the handling compare 3TurnersNotEnough....eg speed of changing line etc? I guess the angles are a bit slacker than the Czar, but overall manoeuverability might offset that?

Nice that there may potentially be 2 race bikes in the Turner lineup!

They had to be out of the office and at the show: no reply to last week's message left via phone or email as of today. Oh well.
