I'm in. I would kind of like the Turner "T" emblem on Homer's shirt, or something.

I'd also like a metal rendition of the standard Turner emblem. Perhaps I'd also get mine with my name on it, should the bike get stolen.

Another thought would be to have the standard Turner diamond with Homer inside and the T on the shirt with the Turner somewhere.

Anyone else have ideas for a design?

Jen does great work, she built the one for my Dean. You simply give her some ideas, and she will draw one up and email it back. She can do colors and all. I believe the Dean was $70 and it was pretty basic.

Here is the response from Jen

    "yeah, that's one o' mine!

It's a one-off, but if a big group is interested it's something I may be able to reproduce. I only hesitate because it's a trademarked image of Homer.....wouldn't want to get myself in trouble with the Simpsons dynasty!

I will need to investigate......for one badge no one is going after me, know what I mean?"

Maybe we can come up with something more "unique".

that's a completely valid point Jen has about the trademark because Fox viciously defends its property rights to The Simpsons, even shutting down fansites with images.

How about taking the image of DT from the BIKE interview and putting his head on the Homer body???

Here is Jen's new site http://www.headbadges.com/

I have asked her to take a look at this thread, so throw out some ideas, maybe pictures if possible.

I think a badge using the name of the 5 SPOT and 6 PACK would make for a cool design.

If we can come up with an idea that is universally liked, she said she could work with us on a group discount. Of course and use of the Turner would require the blessings of DT.

I'm not so sure about Homer gracing the front of my RFX. Sounds like that may not be an option anyway because of legalities. I would be interested in seeing what other designs people come up with though.

How about the traditional Diamond "T" with a gloss black enamel background. Perhaps surounded by a chainring?

Hey better yet maybe have a choice of enamel colors (like *cough* gold *cough*)

The Homer badge is too cool, I've been toying around with the idea of having Jen do one like that myself - but someone beat me to it. Damn...

Let's see what else pops up - if I like it I'm in too.

I think DT on a badge would be creepy, but the Turner logo would be cool. Or maybe some neuticles or an EBM???

...here are 2 that I was ready to pull the trigger on....stalled out for a couple reasons; one being the method for attaching them to the frame Jen recommends is some form of epoxy. I would prefer a self tapping screw method...

    I love that bunny/deer!

    That looks fantastic!

I also like the WCS stripes - quite gutted to have to pass on my old frame with those on.

I'm happy to glue - looks much cleaner than a screw-in method.

Yes it is my headbadge, the Turner Logo was too small for Jen to do and she sent it out for engraving. I sould have asked for a referral fee. I have engraved my name and phone number on the inside.

My motovation for this was: after deserting the Homer Brotherhood for the Niner Rigid SS club I felt I had to pay homage to feel part of this Forum again.
