    Is this a Turner?

I saw this on the front of a 2010 Honda Pilot brochure while at the dealer for some service.

At first you can barely see the bike:

Nice garage though, looks like mine.

Open up the catalog and lay it flat and the bike becomes more clear:

    Zoom in a bit:

It sure looks like "Turner" on the down tube, but interestingly, it is blurred out a bit. Accident? I think not.

I recall there was a Element ad where they were hoisting their Turners on to the roof rack.

    Yep!

Good eye, but that is not gnarcore, just an XC trail bike.

At least it's not a DDub, Weagle is at the core of the anti-core conspiracy

notice they took the "T" off of the XT crank, filled in the blank spots on the mavic rims, possibly the fox shock too - they're just modifying all logos to avoid royalties.

    Good one.

I haven't seen you around here, but you should know that Lenz bikes have the shortest chainstays of any suspension 29" frame, and therefore are the best.

Too bad the car they are hyping is such a slug. My wife and I both WANTED to like the Pilot, but just underpowered. We really like the size/ and amenities, but one drive in the 50hp more MDX and my wife was sold. The SH-AWD ain't bad either.

Still nice catch on the advert. doubt I would have noticed.

The modded shiny decals would suggest its one of the last XCEs - maybe around a 2001-2002 frame.

Clamping the frame on the downtube probably isn't the best, and its been a while since I've seen a Ringle bottle cage on a Turner (excluding my own).

And the fact that they're still on there indicate that it's never been ridden. I think the decals on my 2002 Turner lasted exactly one ride.
