Sheesh those photos aren't helping my recovery too much I think Ive just scared the rest of Homerville off me included!
Cheers Whafe, am blown away, really don't know how to put into words the support from everyone here and esspecially those who keep in regular touch and to those who put this together, really just want to let you know am stunned and truly humbled by the generosity, honestly its the little things that do help the most, a call, email, PM those things are invaluable, regular in touch makes ya deal with each day allot easier, but am !
Please accept my gratitude, the card etc this has taken residence on the side dresser and I will PM or email direct my thanks to you, I'm just lost for words.
As to update unfortunately I didn't get to talk to Whafe long as my Nurse whisked me away to another Physio session so was only brief catch up, so thanks bro for all youve done with everyone behind the scenes, hope to see ya for longer next time and catch up better.
Ahh sit rep on the injury, all is healing well, Im in full physio rehad twice a week, once the neck brace came off supporting my head on my shoulders, became the first obstacle to clear, my melon really is quite heavy.
So the head tended to fall forward and lock out in one postion, we have got some strength back there to some degree and Im more used to that now, the physio is focusing on the vertebrae further down my spine to free up the joints which have effectively locked out apparently 7 are in bad shape thats 28 joints for him to work on, four on each vertebrae so some work.
So slowly over the coming months we will work our way up to get things moving again so I can have some lateral movement so its painful going but we get improvement each day, sorta 2 steps forward one back, this all affects my nerves which are all attached to everything so I still have constant head pain to manage with the electirc shocks on top when things get a bit much, just a wee warning light really to keep me on my toes, though I often get them just sitting in the chair weird..
Things are into autumn now so the weather is playing havoc with me at the mo, I feel every change, this weeks been worse than most so the physio is backing it off a little as we may have been pushing it a bit hard since my head nerves have become more senstive lately, so on top of that I have to a bunch of head exercises 3 times daily and I try to get half an hour on a staionary bike to get some strength back, another friend dropped this off to me a few weeks back, actually another Wafe spelt differently cheers bud must be in the name good guys for sure!
I haven't been able to handle that this week so no cycling in front of the Tele, maybe up for it again next week as it sure helps mentally to get some physical outlet, though its a struggle to turn the cranks on the easiest setting I push to do half an hour and the head legs are giving it to me, baby steps..
Ive been lucky to find a really good physio, hes same age young good looking like me with lots of good lookng OTs so I get some inspiration from seeing some hawt chicks and the Supamarket is always good for the eye candy too when I get there, the physio is talking 3months more physio check progress each month.
Forecast is 6 months - 1year maybe I'll be able to do stuff again like normal whatever that is, I can get around home ok but tend to over do it and pay later, the reality check is when my Nurse takes me to Physio then we go to town for some shopping or something within an hour Im pretty fooked and in some pain so thats hard but, Im used to that its just part of the process, but brings ya back to earth, I feel somewhat guilty until this occurs then I realise how far Ive got to go, but also have come along way too, so its day by day and thankful I have my legs to walk on and the support from everyone here.
Hope this all makes sense, again thank you all, its just great to hang out here keep it and be kept grounded and enjoy the ville and the other boards with good peeps too.
Cheers again all

Nice choice of card Whafe Is it just me, or is the third one along on the bottom row giving me the eye?
TA, any chance of a scanned copy of the card for "personal use"?

Whafe, good man for making that happen for TA, that's solid right there.
TA, I don't think I've posted or PM'ed anything along your road of recovery, but I'm damn glad to see you post up with some progress. You seem to do a pretty good job of trying to stay positive and I'm willing to bet that takes more strength and I can fully understand so good on you. I'm sure the Turner guys and gals have put together some sweet for you.

I wasn't aware of the fund/care package gathering for TA; I would have liked to have chipped in. If it's not too late, let me know what I can do/give.
-
Roy, if you just send me $500 in cash in a plain envelope, I'll make sure it's looked after.
Or you could PM Whafe.

Old story bro... We all know the AB's are chokers, they suck... No one cares... I read this week that viewing ratings are down 28% for Rugby in NZ... That says it all.....
Anyway a correction above. There is porn in NZ, we dont have Pron, not sure what that is....

Thanks again all for the kind words and healing vibes,
yeah its hard but always remind myself of others around the globe in similar or worse situations, I just kick myself on crap some days wishing they had let me pass through the gates, but obviously I wasn't worthy so my time here is not yet done! I read posts of Steve Delray and Tara Lanes, Mark Reynolds, Man Down post etc so it puts things in perspective some.
Just when I give up all hope on humanity you guys go and surprise me again and restore my faith in people, not that I lost it here, but elsewhere its been a challenge, which just leads me to try to get better be strong, so I can come ride with you guys! must ride again must ride again.
This later part of the week has been a huge boost though I pushed too hard so feeling it a bit!
This sort of thing makes yo reflect alot about ya self people, family etc and amazed how many tell me that when they ask what did when they see my soft brace. anyways each day I get stronger mentally and, you guys have been more help than you know!!
I had a text from a dude in Aus today, and that stoked me too cheers Datsun
Its great to have good people to ground you and just let ya know theyre there! again thanx all..

Done TB I might have to do a real good digi shot as a scanner is not so handy to me unless I get it done next week in town, but it will come!
Haven't had a chance yet to PM direct but rest assured I will, toaday hav been out, very naughty, broke some rulz but things had to be done, Ive sold my pride and joy the TurnerBattle truck has moved on, interest in the bank is better than depreciation sitting under cover in the garage for who knows how long, another hard decision but had to be done! So goodbuy trusty friend we fought some good battles together and travelled many roads and will meet again one day.
TB if ya get to NZ well hit the hot spots I assure you leave the women at home though to be safe, a ride trip is all she needs to know ps I woud never lead you astray!
Im not cheap either!
Easy but not cheap
Bob, MJ, RS, Roy, skunkty, CD, CC, hope have all not missed anyone so far, many thanks, honestly the thoughts are what count and really is gift enough! when something this big happens to ya, ya really just treasure the contact and little things, its often the hardest for people to show but it means the most and is the biggest help to my recovery and strength to be well!
**** you guy are gonna have me in tears soon fook gotta go napkin calling
be well all, am glad to be back again!
Ps Ive managed to hang onto my Turners, so far the "reapers" [the ones with the sickle] will have to come knocking if they want them and prye them from my cold dead hands after Ive taken a few of them with me first
gizzillion thanks again to all and those behind the scenes. you know who youre are!! I hope I convey that sincerely as it is meant champions all, hope I won't have to but know I will be there if this should touch anyone else in our world.

Haha thought you would like our Merino's
Ya betterm always a roof and bed for ya buddy and proably a bike for ya to ride if ya fit a medium goes for any of the Homers, always welcome! My roof is your roof!
Definitely bring a rugby ball, who knows we probably could do with some decent coaches you might be able to get a job out here, ya don't have any medical expertise do ya, we don't pay much here but any old certificate will do for us we take all comers since all our students leave to go overseas to pay off there student loans and never come back cause of the IRD ( inland revenue department never leaves them alone) trust me Hospital here as a patient is not a great place to be!
Well to be fair the one I ended up in anyway, though I did have an awesome room only cause I was transferred from another hospital so I had
to be isolated so the story goes, I think they forgot about me until they decided I was using too much power and too much food and kicked me out!
Even though I slept 99% of the time and barley ate, tough crowd..
Actually with the way our players are heading to France and England there may even be a spot for you in the black jersey TB ya could hardly do worse
Anyway TB you are always welcome here with the ta if ya can handle putting up with me, ta and tb sounds like a darn monster movie
