    Sultan update?

With talks of a 29er Xc race bike what's the chance of the sultan getting an update a little more to the aggressive end of the spectrum? A little more direct competition to the Prime or the new Enduro.

I'm currently running a CCDBa and a 140 talas and love the bikes trail manners. I like the longer stays but wish it was about a degree to 1.5* slacker. And maybe 130-140mm of travel. Pretty much an exact 29" version of the spot.

Seems like it might make sense if DT drops a sick Xc bike to separate the two a little more but I don't have to spend the coin to change the bike. I just get to ride them.

Could happen...But I don't know. 140mm and longer travel 29ers enter a realm of reduced applicability, yes they roll well but they lack maneuverability. Maneuverability and larger terrain go hand in hand.
Your thoughts of a 140mm Sultan just begin to scratch that edge. So it seems reasonable...but entering that 'meh' realm. I've only ridden an HT 29er so I wouldn't really know. But I think my generalization about a 140mm cutoff makes sense based on my experience with the maneuverability.
