    stoke report

nothing new, just a couple of rfx's in the air again. Technical difficulties prevented the photo shoot from going as planned but the photog gave them some PS/Lightroom love and approved them for posting. Looks like Todd's rained out again today so maybe he's working on some of Kenny's helmet cam video too.

    whodaphuck, boulder gulch.

Props to Jewels (and PS)! Is that the run where you gouged the tree? You're really hugging it there.

The video wasn't much to work with due to crappy camera angle. I'll be able to work in some clips, but all handlebar and front tire is a bit much.

her original idea worked well, but not posting due to poor image quality, so we will have to give it another try. Kenny rode monday by himself with the helmet cam and got some good footage where he looks down over the gaps.

That's not my tree smacker, I was fully dead sailored for that incident.

I love your red soil........the jump to berm looks sweet, I've got a similar move on the AMA but alas there are no trees to make it extra tight.........just small scrubby bushes and rocks.

Good stuff AW. I'm still hoping to hit Whistler this summer to get some new ideas for stunts ect. We've been getting a ton of rain this year, which has inspired all the building lately.

ElC, you guys should set up a rain catchment system, we string up a tarp with a hole in the middle and put buckets under it.

yep, trip to whistler will motivate you to build stuff like this.

Your dirt STILL makes me very jealous(re: angry). It looks like you can build all that crap with your shoe.

actually DB that is pretty accurate, most of that stuff is "natural" and we just have to kick the branches and leaves out of the way. Feel free to join us anytime for our regular anger management meetings.

EBx, yes we are working hard to sanitize everything before you arrive.

Robbie, count me in for at least one day of digging. Maybe we can consider it "payment" for some surf lessons.....

Get tools prepped and we'll dig like some crazy mofo's.

    Good dirt fer sure!
Rain catch system? Bwah our "soil" never dries! OTOH it's usually 50% rock too so we can't build with our shoes like you guys.

Great shots. Hey is this jump straight onto the berm or is it some kind of hip? Does it toss you into it or are you tail whiping to set it up?

Faster is better, even when it's not.

ideally you would hit the right side of the take off rock and transfer left into the berm/landing/tree , we are landing very close to the base of the tree, and that puts you up into the berm nicely. I'll have to take a shot of the pedal gouge I put in the tree the other day. If you hit the take off farther left you don't get up into the berm. Theres not much time/room to setup after landing the jump before it. We're still fine tuning things and trying to get further right on the take off.

Some of the helmet cam footage posted recently shows the line, and we'll have some cool photos soon and some better video too.
