    St. Paddy's day ride

El Chingon, D Wang and I went for a ride on the Barrel and Bear Poppy Trails today. The video doesn't do the steepness of the trail justice. There are a few pretty good sphincter clenchers on this stretch.

I cleaned the entire Barrel Trail for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I'd always ridden by myself and ended up walking the steeper rollers. The first ride on my Pack (also alone) I felt confident enough I just went for it and manged to ride all of the main trail. Today it didn't seem too bad. The more upright position I have for my 6 Pack really helps on the super steep stuff.

I was again impressed at the skills of my two companions. D Wang is a very smooth and stylish jumper and El Chingon's perfect pedalstroke could grace a pro roadie.

{Principal Skinner} Hmm. Whoever did this is in very deep trouble.
    {Martin} And a sloppy speller too. The preferred spelling of 'wiener' is w - i - e - n - e - r, although 'e - i' is an acceptable ethnic variant.

Boy, no kidding. The video makes that look like an ADA-approved access ramp, and I know it ain't.

Nice little Vid Bob! Not bad for an 18 mile lunch time stroll! What Bob doesn't let on is that he is an absolute hammer on the climbs.
