So happy with my DHR and this season

As a result, I want to share a video I chopped up of some friends and I riding around the mid- Atlantic gravity parks. I hope everyone enjoys watching it... All it's doing for me is making me think weekend to weekend. More so than normal that is!

    Cheers

Some nice riding in there, which of the resorts was the road gap at the start of the vid and the rock garden at 1:20?

Yes, the road gap is at Snowshoe... the rock garden is at Launch Bike Park which is in Schwenksville, PA. The trail is called High Life, and has since been smoothed out a good bit since I recorded that particular run. I'm glad I got it on film when it was still natural/ rough!

How is Launch this year if they've tamed down the trails? With Diablo out of action this weekend after Irene it might be worth trying to convince to friends to head there this weekend. We normally ride Diablo, Platty and Highland so don't want somewhere too tame.

To my knowledge, they have replaced the ladder down from the largest rock, and filled in the low areas with red clay. I wouldn't say that it's tame but it is easier now. The new work should help with drainage and all that good stuff. A fella posted a video on the Launch FB page's wall that does a good job of showing the trail before/ after. Launch's FB:

Overall, I would still say that Launch is one of the more technical spots in my area. Though, Timberline in Davis, WV is looking really good these days. They have a trail called Gnarnia... Need I say more?! Timberline's FB:

Thanks for all the great comments on the video ya'll!

Very nice! Who says pov can't be fun to watch (although your riding goes a long way to aid in that)? Going to have to go back to the helmet mount for a few tries, seems to smooth things out a lot over the chesty.

Thanks again for the compliments guys! I know that the 1st p- pov videos can get a bit monotonous, so it's nice to see the video being well recieved. If I am ever able to stop buying dh tires and save some money, I will probably buy a decent camera and shoot some real videos!

Heck yeah, naya the dingo! I had a blast at Snowshoe as well... I haven't gotten any plans together yet, but I'm probably going back there or to Timberline this weekend. I'll hit you up on FB!
