    Sanchez hits Goat Camp

NAKED1 and Matt visited the AZ crew for a weekend of good times. To top it all off, we hit Goat Camp. This was their first trip down the fabled trail, but I gotta tell you, they handled it well. I wasn't sure if I over sold it to them, but I think they would agree, it was epic. GC has really been torn up will all the rain we had over the winter. There used to be some "flow", but no longer . The trail was super challenging, and showing its best face for the visitors.

Here is a video shoing the drop in, The Spiral Staircase, and Jackhammer. The Sanchez crew represented!

What are the consequences of messing up the Spiral Staircase? Great looking "trail", as always!

Really depends on which line you take. There are 3 lines for the entry

    1. Through the rocks to the left
    2. 90 Degree left after #1
    3. Outside to the right

    Damages:

    1. Forks, feet, hands, elbows, and knees. Since most people wear armor, most of are not issues. Forks, on the other hand...well, they may die here. Dirtbag tagged his fork pretty good this weekend.

    2. Rotor damage is the most I see here

    3. Too far right and you fall of a 20 foot vertical cliff

Finally, the lower section. If your weight is too far forward, well, I hope your helmet is a quality one.

Goat Cmap doesn't have a huge amount of risk if you are geared up. But trying to put everything together in one run is extremely difficult. Lots of places that will catch you and throw you to the ground and make you pay.

It was snowing like crazy on our way out the door for our spring break trip to Santa Cruz and my wife said, "Maybe we should just go to Phoenix". I was this close to taking her up on it. We still had a great time but I really miss Goat Camp and SoMo.

Hey Naked1, that's exactly the spot I got hung up on the Jackhammer. I did the same shoulder/handlebar dab and then rolled it out. Nice work. I heard someone yell "count it" so I figure that's good.

Anxiously awaiting the other vids and photos from the trip.

It's only good because he is an outsider. There is no way in hell that counts for the AZ Crew. As soon as that elbow hit the granite, he might as well picked the bike up and walked back up for another try.

And while I am at it... I might as well give NAKED props for doing the GIRLS line on the Spiral Staircase. He gets half credit for that. Until he steps up and does the money line between the rocks, he will only be a 50%er. Sorry big man...I just can't let it slide.

Point taken. Guess I'm gonna just have to come back down there and clean 'em proper. (I think I took the girl's line on the Spiral Staircase too)

Dang fine riding by all of you in that video in any case. Nice work.

Awesome Naked and Picasa! Looks like a fun trip, I had to settle for three runs down Grafton instead. I guess life is tough.

    Looks good.

What shorts are those on the last clip on the Higline rider? They look like a good fit, without looking too tight or baggy and don't get in the way.

My tire dabs are clean, doncha think

I not only left a bit of my fork in the slot, a layer of my left shin has turned up missing too I do think that thing is shrinking, whereas jackhammer has become a super highway.
