Rroeder & Squeak; The Czar is available

I found it friday night at liquormart in boulder. It may take a while to trickle to your favorite liquor store. I've had three bottles of it so far; it's different tasting this year, I don't know quite how to describe it. I'm not sure I like it!
I better get some more and do some research!
    Still 11% allkeehawl content.

    Renny,
I will be sure to conduct extensive research in my personal laboratory and will report back.

tried the Kiltlifter last week after a ride and I gotta say I'm not a fan. Too malty (skotch ale, duh) for my taste. I did like Moylan's Imperial IPA though.
Had a Double B@stard last night, and it is very nice. Tonight I'll czech bevmo for the Czar. Tried any Oaked Arrogant Bastard? (3 cases in the cellar for Mammoth trips this winter)

Stone's brewery out of Cali I think, might not be out there in corn land, good beer but not as good as Avery IMO, little bitter for my tastes too, excellent IPA.

So do you just snap it on and it stays? Guess you have to flatten it out after removal eh?

Damn, now I'm thirsty, but for two things....
I saw the oak aged arrogant bastard in the store last night. If I read the bottle correctly, it is still 7%, but a six pack costs $17.00!!! I hope I'm wrong on the percentage; if I'm gonna shell out that kind of dough, I want some kick!

It is still the original ABV IIR, just aged with oak chips. It has an almost bourbon-y feel to it. 6-packs out here are $13...Limited edition, blah, blah...they are proud of it. I had some at a beer fest, and liked it, so I bought a bunch to bust out over the winter.
Tonight I look for the Czar.

Yeto does a similar thing; they offer an imperial stout, and an oak-aged imperial stout, which is the Imp. stout that is further aged with oak chips. Of the two, I prefer the taste of the regular Imp. stout. I have had brews that were aged in oak barrels, and enjoyed them. Full sail makes an imp. stout that they age in bourbon barrels, and I think it kicks a$$.

I bought one of these. I couldn't get the cap onto it without scratching the hell out of it.
But then again, I seem to have trouble with these types of things.
