    Romic Spring weights for 5-Spot

    Hi all,

Just purchased a 5-spot and looking forward to building it up.

This is a 2005 HL model with Romic shock (althoguht I understand that this rockers have the cut out for the RPŁ - does this make them 5.3 rockers?).

Anyhoo.. the Shcok is coming with a 500lb spring. I can't seem to find a spring guide anywhere - how would this be for my weight (just under 14 St.) else what should I be looking at.

On a seperate topic - any recommendations for front mech?

    TIA,
    Carl

    Stone?

can you post a picture of the scale that has stones on it? I have always wondered what one looks like.

The 500lb spring is for riders around 160-180 that much I do know.

Have fun with your new ride.

You're bang on my nekkid weight, and I use the 550 spring. I've got an RP3, but still prefer the Romic when riding the Utah rock.

    Imperial stones

Try Mojo and TFT both have spring calculators on their web sites.

Thanks, just what I was looking for!

Only problem now is sourcing a 550Lb spring in the UK. I might just get a 600lb spring and eat more pies.

    Try Chainreactioncycles..

It seems that 2,25'' romic springs doesn't come in 550 lbs (?)

Speaking from own experience you could wait till after Xmas and the 600 lbs spring will probably fit

    Cheers Kasper

The #550 does come in a 2.0 stroke. I dont think I have seen it in a 2.25" in the past.
