    RFX decal

Just got a close out RFX a couple of weeks ago and noticed it has a six pack decal. Is this common for an 06 model?

    Thanks

I've got an early 06 RFX-the only decals were 'turner' and the american flag, both which promptly flaked off within a few washings. Weird-wonder if you got a 05 front triangle & 06 rear someone swapped.

edit: Oh, and your shock is installed wrong. flipper' over so you can use that PP!

yep. id have to say someone swapped front tri's on ya and wasnt bright enough to put the shock back on correctly? too bad he wasnt bright enough to keep the tnt rear as well. otherwise theres no diff in the front ends. consider yerself lucky to have what may be the only white rfx around and to be the envy of the candy striper homer from the planet bling.

id be real curious to know where ya got it and if they really passed this off as a '06 rfx.

I ordered it online from Wrenchscience as an 06 close out special for $1395. I took the picture of it as soon as I got it out of the box. It took about a month and half to get it. Supposedly Fedex lost it but they never sent me a tracking number. About 3 weeks after I ordered it I called them up to check on it and they didn't know where it was. After a week or so they said there was a mix up due to Fedex moving to a new facility in Atlanta. Three weeks later I received the frame with the shipping address coming from Salt Lake City. Not sure how it got there, the Wrenchscience facility is in California.
As long as there's not a problem with mixing the setup I'm fine with it. The six pack sticker is kind of cool anyway. I was just curious about it.

man that sounds funky but never you mind now. yer frame is sweet and theres no issue with mixin it up. however without a explination, id be weary of doin more biz with them. my opinion.

now kids, gather round the screen cuz its time to play..... lets pull apart the new guys build spec! .... post er up if yer brave burker. its just our way of helpin out. and welcome, its good to have ya.

at least it isn't some ghey sticker that depicts your MTBR handle!

Could you see CC putting a sticker of a cactus mated with a corn cob on his new and beautiful bronze ano RFX?? Unless he has been hanging around Fo too much lately

...Word. The "SixPack" moniker is sooo much cooler than ...RFX....

Maybe the shock is upside down because it's a small '05 front and if you ran it right side up, the schrader would hit the downtube at full compression.

Ya'll are crazy - that shock is rightside up...and on my small 05 it will fit both ways.

PS - that is not a small frame. The small does not have the taco.

That's a DHX compatible version. The lower end of the downtube is manipulated.

Thanks for all the info guys! The frame size is a medium. This will be my first time building a bike so I will run it by you to make sure it's homer approved. I've started the build and have a few pieces on it. It will probably take a few months to complete, as I want to get it done right with the proper bling. I'll post a pic of what I have so far after work.

    Thanks again!
    Brian

ps it's already equiped with the GD

if Fo' wants it then he'll have to take the GD with it. I think he's in denial and secretly covets one anyway. I may cut him a deal if he admits it.

Glad you appreciate that couch, it's a 40 year old sleeper and must weigh close to 500 pounds. Too bad it's not red.
The seat and pedals aren't staying I just put them on there to make it look more like a completed bike What's a tui?
The cannondale doesn't get much use other than as a loaner. I've had it since '93 and won't be getting rid of it.
