If you are laying out the $ for tickets and rental and plane ticket from Hi, there is only one place in NA to ride, Whistler.

The only way to consider Canyon's park 'good' is if one has never been to other parks.
Northstar way better, Whistler different universe. Mammoth is not much of a 'park' in todays definition, but at least it's a big hairy palmed beast of mountain. I rode Canyons with my sons couple summers ago, and we all left saying they had better do a lot more for the ticket price. I guess if one is weak, it beats pedaling...

Is the Teton Pass stuff just that good?

Killed myself getting to the top on the road from Driggs racing the TD a few years ago, but I'm out there with my Burner in a couple of weeks and will sneak in a shuttle somehow if I can.

I wouldn't call it a downhill resort but, I go to Snowbasin every Sunday they have 26 miles of trails a gondola ride with bike is $18 single/$25 all day. The main reason I go is the Blues, Beer, & BBQ they do on Sundays. Usually get a run or two in then free music, local breweries, and food to finish off the weekend. The fact that I have a season pass doesn't hurt either.
