    Removing a Fork ?

Hey All! Got a bit of an embarrassing question for regarding proper proceedure for removing a fork. I'd like to send in my 06 Float RLC to Push but would like to know if it's only a matter of unscrewing the top portion of the headset and then having the bike shop re-install it? Your feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

turn out all the lights, pull the covers over yer head and pretend not to be there. she will eventually leave on her own.

    or.....

un bolt the brakes from the fork and bag up all the h/ware.
loosen the bolts that clamp the stem on the fork 1 turn or so at a time till it slids off easy like.
carefully remove top cap while holdin said fork so it dont go plop on yer foot. woops, there go all the h/set spacers!
pick em back up off the floor, bag em up along with the h/set bits that fell with em.
send to push and take it all to the lbs for reinstall.

ps: if anything here confuses ya, frightens ya or spoils yer night, stop and take it to yer lbs before goin on with it.

you forgot to tell him to gently, or not so gently tap the steerer tube with a hammer-like object, or hardened piece of parmesian....

    he'll figure it out, hopefully!

Sorry, but PUSH doesn't accept forks from people who have to ask how to remove a fork.

didn't anyone tell you that there isn't any cleverness in repeating what someone used accurately as a put-down in your direction?

    score:

    0/10 on originality
    0/10 on cutting humor
    0/10 on slapstick humor
    5/10 on unintended ironic humor

but that's because we threw out the Homer Judge's score.

the thrown out Homer Judge's scores:

    25/10 on originality
    100,000/10 on cutting humor
    2 billion/10 on slapstick humor
    and

the question of "what is...?" with regard to ironic humor.
