    PUSH Linkage Bushings

    Hey guys/gals,

    So....we got in raw material yesterday for our production PTX replacement linkage bushings for DW link Turner Frames. The question I have is for older TNT/HL owners. Is there still interest for bushing kits for those frames?

    I was going to run a small amount of TNT/HL anyway because we still get the random call or email for them, but just figured I'd ask before ripping through all the material.

    Sorry. For those of you unfamiliar with our previous kit, our PTX kit decreases dynamic friction by 50% increasing small bump sensitivity. It was very popular among TNT/HL owners, and we're just getting around to making them for DW bikes.

    I'm in for dw version. I had to "fine tune" the oem ones. Though they provided better small bump compliance now they don't have exact tolerance and may provide uneven wear. This should be a fine solution! I'm sending a link to wife for a stocking stuffer.

    I'd be interestd in the HL ones, have recently fitted a set to my 05 sixpack & the plushness over small stuff is miles better than standard ones,would like some for my 04 five spot

    Yes, we need to update the site. Small parts kits such as these normally go into a padded envelope and shipped Ground or USPS. Not a problem at all. You can specify that shipping in the "Notes" field at checkout, or obviously if you order over the phone.

    Sheesh! I better get the lathe setup....didn't realize how hot these would be!

    Dude! this was way overdue, supposed to be early this year, or last year. I've been holding my breath for a while.

    2x for my TNT. This bushing is hard to find when they're gone! My 5 spot is outlasting the rider.!

    Yes, but you have to be careful about too much sensitivity. It may lead to ending your ride prematurely.

    I'll take a set of TNT bushings. I just rebuilt my new-to-me TNT by taking some material off the existing bushings which had been overtightened and had mushroomed. A set of PUSH frame bushings mated to some of the new Fox IGUS shock bushings should take all of the sticktion out of the rear end.

    The shopping cart needs to be updated to reflect small part ordering. If you select Return Ground shipping you will get he cheapest option as they ship in a simple padded envelope. You can also add into he Notes field that you would like economy shipping, or for it to specifically to go via UPS.

    As for TF, I'm sure you'll have no problem getting kits from them. Shipments to them won't be far behind. I would recommend inquiring with them as to get on their list as we're going to work hard to accommodate everyone.

    Update

    Initial TNT/HL kits are done! Just putting the finishing touch on the upper stay bushing fit and I'll let those rip! Shop is closed but I'm in here working for you guys on New Years Eve!

    I didn't order anywhere near enough material based on the demand so far, but I'll get more coming as soon as they can get it to us. Those of you that placed, or are placing, your orders early will see them start shipping in the next couple of days.

    My DW kit shipped today and Invoice has 2 TNT/HL bushings as part of the kit? is this the case? here is what the invoice says..

    Yes the HL/TNT and DW bikes share the same main pivot bushings at the Rocker/Seat Tube pivot. I'm not sure why your invoice didn't reflect the updated description for the first two components. Regardless....you've got what you need on the way!

    The only info we have is what we supply the vendor in regards to what we're looking for. They then supply the material that meets the requirement.

    0.860"(21.8mm) for Standard, and 0.925"(23.5mm) for lower DW link. Both approx. 0.05"(1.27mm) wide.

    To bad we don't have these quite finished.....Would make a great combo to the frame pivot kits!

    What's the torque specs required when installing PTX bushing? I remember 100 in/lb from previous installation manual. That's low compared to 27 ft/lb Turner use. I remember I mushroomed the shaft when I used 27 ft/lb. I'm speaking for TNT spot.

    Hi,

    Can somebody please provide the measurements of the DW Link bushings please? I am looking to source some from Igus as doing a cheap rebuild and looking for a cheaper alternative.

    The required measurements are:

    Shaft diameter d1
    Bearing width b1
    Flange thickness b2
    Outer diameter d2
    Flange diameter d3

    Installed DW bushings weeks ago. Had an issue installing the main pivot bushings and ended up re-installing the Turner bushings at the main pivot and now I have a little stiction, but installed the Push bushings on the rest of the bike. Only a couple of rides since so still breaking them in. Darren was cool to send me another set of main pivot bushings since I ruined them trying to install. It's a real tight fit, and I think I need to sand down the pivot shaft on the next attempt. I'll update after more ride time and once I get the main pivot bushings installed.

    rhyno, there should be no modifications necessary. You definitely don't want to sand down the hardcoat on the pivot pin. We've got hundreds of these installed without issue.

    My main pivot bushings were definitely tighter than the other pivots with respect to fitting the pivot shaft. I small amount of bushing material was "shaved" off when pressing the shaft in.

    I threw a set on my RFX a few years back. They were dunzo in about six months. Ended up putting the original Turner bushings back in and they have been running perfectly ever since. I don't doubt that they have less friction but the softness of the PTX did not lend itself to longevity.

    Wow, 6 months? Mine lasted about 3. Went back to stock as well but they dont last as long as I would like.

    I've been able to get nearly 2 years out of the multiple sets I've owned as well. Make sure you guys follow PUSH's torque spec for reassembly. It's lower than the stock Turner delrin spec. It's a fantastic upgrade imo.

    How often are you guys riding your bikes to get that much use out of them? I ride a min of 8 hours a week on my spot...plus I weight 200lbs...im sure that effects the wear a bit.

    I get about 6-8 months out of the Main and DW bushings before they get clapped out, this is with good maintenance too. Riding about 40 miles week MTB, weighing in at 225# ish.

    I called them a couple month ago and was told, they are planning on making some at some point, but no date is set.

    I guess its a demand thing, if everyone calls, we are more likely to get some?

    What frame are you needing/wanting them for? DW or TNT I have a set for a TNT that I may not use. Frame 05' 6 Pack might be up for sale soon.

    Bumping to offer 2 sets of TNT/HL bushings for sale to my fellow homers. My plans to set the wife up with an older extra small Flux have not materialized. Bushings are brand new from PUSH. I hope this post is ok considering the classifieds are now free. I'd rather these bushings go to use!
