    Post your fav Cult song

Got to be somebody on here that likes The Cult. One of my first concerts in high school was Metallica with The Cult as the opening show.

    Mines Sun King

    Zap City or Love Trooper.

Pretty much anything off the Manor Sessions kicks ass.

The Witch or Drug Tongue of the newer stuff.

Here is the original version of Love Removal Machine from the Manor Sessions.

I'll have to agree with "She Sells Sanctuary", the first 20 seconds always knock me back about 20 years to when I had more hair, less gut, no cash, but also no stress.

Resurrection Joe, The Phoenix, Spiritwalker, Rain, Sun King, it's kind of hard to name a bad one...except for Fire Woman.

My fave Cult album is 1994's The Cult.

The creepy Beatle-esque "Gone", and the Hendrix inspired "Free", the hard rockin' "Star"...........and the angry studio tension intro to "Emperor's New Horse".......

    Awesome album........

    Favorite Cult Song

    No contest for me:

    1) She Sells Sanctuary
    2) Love Removal Machine
    3) Peace Dog

Electric is one of my all time favorite albums and I routinely listened to it back in the day when I was gettin' rad on my Haro. Today, I think all three of the songs above are in regular rotation on my MP3 ride playlist.

One of my favorite bands of that era; hard to pick a favorite. I got to see them live once and it was a great show. In addition to their studio recordings (including Southern Death Cult & Death Cult) I have the White Box Set which which was an Import in the States and I guess is pretty rare as I was having a tough time finding it with Google. I was going to suggest it as it has some rare recordings including the Manor Sessions as well as some great live stuff, B-sides and singles. If you can find the individual discs, or the set, they'd be a nice addition to your Cult collection.

I saw this band in concert back in 1990.
    The Band = The Cult
    The Album = Sonic Temple
The Song = Sweet Soul Sister

    The Music Video Link http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?vid=54268
    The Lyrics:
    All the hip young things
    Trying to make a scene
    Living out forbidden dreams
    Star spangled banner
    Flutters in the sky
    Time hustles those
    Who wait to die

    Come on little honey
    Come on now, please
Come on little honey and dance with me

    Sweet soul sister
Keep on pushing till the dawn, well
    Sweet soul sister
    Forever dancing on and on

    Ooh, shes a dior girl
    Twisting round the world
    Midnight crush boogie scene
    Firm fixed expression
    Sensual, tender, smooth
    Sexual panther, beautifully cool

    Come on little honey
    Come on now, please
Come on little honey and dance with me

    Sweet soul sister
Keep on pushing till the dawn, well, well, well, well
    Sweet soul sister
Forever dancing on and on, yeah

Hustle and strut through paris at night
    Hustle and strut
Hustle and strut through paris at night
    Hustle and strut
    Say na na na
    Say na na na, yeah

    City of sin
    Come and let me in
    City of sin
Come and let me in, ow

    Sweet soul sister
Keep on pushing till the dawn
    Sweet soul sister
    Forever dancing on and on

    Sweet soul sister
Keep on pushing till the dawn
    Sweet soul sister
Forever dancing on and on, yeah

    Thanks for the memories TA

Hopefully not derailing the OP thread here but damn, Barnsey and Cold Chisel brought back 25 years. My kids are going to have to listen to some of "Danny's old fashion music" today.

More off topic but the wife is completing the huge quantity of paperwork necessary for US PT's to receive a NZ Physio Therapy license - not sure where that will lead but you better get well enough to ride 'cause I might be lookin' for some local knowledge to show me around.

Love from Love (best album they ever put out). Used to listen to Love after every rugby game in college after the drink up, before going out. Rain is a close second and Drug Tongue is probably the only thing I liked after Sonic Pimple came out.

Saw them at the Felt Forum with Gaye Bikers on Acid opening up during the Electric tour. How many of you actually even heard of that venue? - damn kids these days! Serious mosh pit action going on in front of the stage before mosh pits even had a name.

That was such an awesome era. U2 War and UFF; INXS Listen Like Thieves, Cult, REM. Only good parts of puberty I say...

Cult? an OK band, but really, you should be listening to Rob Zombie.

And I hate Metallica, because one of the band members bought a bunch of land here and subsequently barred access to a local trail that had been open for years. Fscker! A pox on all your houses!

Hey TA, got any Icehouse Vids? '80's baby. 80's! Prolly my fav Southern Hemisphere band at the time. "Great Southern Land" was a great song.
