    plus size Turners.....

After converting the sultan to a plus size, and seeing DT's bigger burner, i couldn't resist.....

Sultan has 35mm carbon with Maxxis Chronicle 27.5/3.0, the Burner 40mm carbon with Surly 26/3.0

What a blast these bikes are plus sized...amazing in standard mode, but supper fun plus sized. I gather many more will try it out thought I would start of a build thread.

enjoy plus size Turners.....-sultan-plus.jpgplus size Turners.....-burner-plus.jpg

Nice. I'm developing a bit of an itch for a Burner or Sultan that might need to be scratched. Is clearance decent on both?

the sultan has the old 135, and the burner has the 142.....burner has more clearance. hence my call to greg for a 142 rear for the sultan...

as a side note i was going to sell the sultan to make some room in the quiver..not now glad i held on to it..

Is that RS Pikes you're running on the front of the burner? Thinking of trying this myself but not sure if my Pikes will have the necessary clearance.

I set up my Burner with WTB Trailboss 2.4s on 40mm Derby rims. Makes for a setup that is pushing 27.5 status. The Trailboss tires are super fast rolling and I have loads and loads of traction. I am really happy with the setup.

I just built my 27.5's for my new v3.1 Burner using Nextie Wildcats (Asym 38mmOSx32mmInner) and WTB 2.5 Breakouts. They are as big and tall as you can get w/o going to the whole 26+ or 27.5+. They look positively massive.
For those that build wheels. Using my usual Chris Kings they use the same size spokes for both front and rear, left and right sides. Awesome smooth build.
Plenty of clearance in my new Fox 36 (27.5) Float. Just waiting for the frame to get here to build her up.
