You know Im in, Zilla. JC should be there, too.

Blue Mountain is one of the better places to ride in Tri-State area. Some really nice trails.

Lots of rain today. How bad you think it will be, Zilla?

Blue drains well this time of year. It hasn't rained much tonight so by mid-day tomorrow when the FTF starts most of the trails should be perfectly spanky with the exception of the lowest lying corners...most of the rocks will still be slick though.

I'm bolting up a fender JIC...I got so much isht in my eyes the last few rides I needed a trowel to get my contacts out.

Check the wmba.org forum before heading out... the party's on rain or shine but someone will surely post last min info.

I met a lot of folks yesterday at the festival I don't remember names or handles well, my bad.

Turner was well represented at our little local event:

The gent in the back owns the red Spot with the DUC, He's been talking about an North East Homer gathering...sounds like a good idea. Seeing how he's got the jersey I'm sure we'll hear from him soon.

Besides the Homer's rides above there also was wmbarace who brought his RFX and Spot, and SoulflyNYC who brought his RFX which also had spanky gold trim. SpeedThrills Flux is in the middle. I also ran into a dude with a green ano RFX on the trail...It's the first time I've seen that finish in person...very nice! There may have been one or two others about.

Unfortunately, we didn't do enough posing to take the blingarific porn shots, so maybe a ride shot will help. Really I was too busy having fun to take pix. Oh well maybe next time.

There was lots of granite spines to play on. Bean got a shot or two of me trying to hurt myself:

I was this ===> <=== close to slipping off a tipy chunk and falling over onto that sapling...which I've done before

I ran BG/NG tires for the first time 2.5s and as wet as many things were I cleared a lot of stuff that even gave me trouble on dry days. New bigger stickier tires don't hurt eh? Sometimes it just a matter of believing.

Bean's got the golden shutter finger.
BTW MTBR in general had a pretty impressive turn out. I ran into a lot of people from the forums.

Thanks for organizing a great event Chris! Hopefully next year I'll learn some time management and pitch in.
