    new wheels for the Pack

While I kindly let Prof win the 6Pack at the Sven Martin fundraiser, I did win a new pair of Hadley hubs. I just had them built up with the new DT EX5.1D rims. I like my current FR6.1Ds, but they are a little heavy for my regular trail riding. The 5.1s aren't much narrower (6.1 - 32mm, 5.1 - 28mm) but they weigh about 135g less per rim. Seems like the ideal heavy-duty trailbike rim. Enough talk, here's the pics:

    Nice looking wheels.

Larry just rebuilt my Kings with the 5.1 this weekend. As wide as the Syncros 28 but lighter & incredibly stiff. Great rims for aggressive riding when a true FR-phat rim is overkill.

So does that mean the 5.1 are a step down from the 6.1's?.

do the 5.1's compare well to the 321's?

SC, That is one of the nicest packs i've seen.

The DT 5.1 is 500gm & 28mm wide. According to Mavic, the 321 is also 28mm but weighs 570gm

Sweet score on a sweeter set of hubs and hoops. The Pack is looking pretty boss - have you given any ride report on the Chubby vs. the DHX?

Hey it's Crash and I was wondering if you had any of those 5.1's in stock. Really? Well 'cause the craziest thing happened. Ya, I followed Bender off of this 100 footer and taco'd both of my DS28's. Crazy huh? What? No I don't have pictures! Good hell man! I tell you I just looked death in the face and you want to see pictures! You are one sick little man. Ya whatever... OK, OK, apology accepted. No I'm fine, but the rims... well the rims are shot."

SK where did your white Diety bar go? Sure was pretty.

    Thank's SkullCrack.
The wheel's look very smart, the hadley's have a good reputation and it must be good to get the chance at a second wheelset, one light/trail and one for your Freeride day's.
Ahh but you have the 5 Spot as well, the choices you have

    Look like 2.5 Blue Grooves.

That's what I'm running up front on the Pack-O-Lantern. Hooks up great here in GA until the pine straw and leaf litter get too deep - then I switch over to the Nevegals.
    Nothing to see here.

I'll post a full report on the Avy once I've got more time on it. They recommend about 20hrs of riding before it's fully broken-in. So far, it feels great and I prefer it to the DHX.

The tires are a 2.5 Blue Groove Stick-E in front and a 2.35 Nevegal DTC in the back.

The Deity bars have a little more rise than I like for my usual riding. The Syncros bars are also a little lighter.
