    New Spot all built up

    I've been posting bits and pieces for the last couple days and it's done now! D-Rock and I had a few Rogue beers and ran the cables. So here are some pics and vital stats:

    * Frame Size & Color: XL Black - 2006 Front / 2004 Burner rear
    * Fork: RS Revelation 426 U-Turn
    * Brakes: Avid Juicy 7
    * Cranks: LX w/ RaceFace rings and bashguard
    * Front Derailleur: XT
    * Rear Derailleur: X.9
    * Pedals: ATAC Carbon
    * Stem: Thompson Elite 100 x 5
    * Handlebar: FSA XC280 660 wide x 1.5 rise
    * Seatpost: Thompson Elite
    * Saddle: WTB Laser 5 (maybe ?)
    * Bottom Bracket: LX
    * Cassette: SRAM 970
    * Headset: Cane Creek S2
    * Grips: ODI Rogue Lock-ons
    * Tires: Maxxis High Roller 2.1
    * Rim: Mavic XC 717
    * Hub/Skewer: XT
    * Cables: Avid Flack Jacket (I'm sick of gunky cables and the red looks cool)

    Weight is 30.14. I may go with a Thompson 110 x 0 oversize and carbon bars.
    I need to get this baby dirty

    So you didn't even try out the TNT rear end?

    Hey, that's old dirt on the wheels and a little on the crank. It's legit!

    Nope, I didn't try a TNT rear. As you can see from the build it was a warranty issue. There wasn't anything wrong with the HL rear and replacing it with a TNT would have cost additional $ for me, Turner, or both. They were nice enough to paint the front triangle to match the rear and it came out great. I wouldn't have had a hangup either way, I think it came down to economics and need.

    Big thanks to Turner for helping me out!

    Here's the proof, St. Rogues Red for RedRocker!

    The Spot turned out nice. The Flak Jackets look sweet, hopefully they perform as good as they look.

    I hear Chicopee calling your name. I can't wait for the UGI to strike. I hear SSINGA has some Kings for sale.

    I prefer the term "humid dirt". Mud is such an ugly term!

    Thanks CC. Good luck getting out. Hopefully the shorts, short sleeves, and dry trail were inspirational and didn't induce jealousy. The guilt would be too much to bear.
    Thx for the bar input BTW. I rode today with lowered spacers and really liked the change even though it was slight. The X4 100x0* stem and some 645 carbon bars are on the way.
    As is a King headset. It's red and I'm proud of it - there, I said it!

    the decision has been made. im takin the girl to the black hills of s dakota for a dbl duty weekend. sat am im doin a d/h snow race, kinda more like a 4x thing by the sounds of it, and the rest of sat and sun we ski. the snow reports look promising so i dont see alot of trail rides but i may take my gear anyway. as far as the shorts go, thanx alot pal. why not just knock me over and kick me in the nuts while im down?

    glad the bar info helped. i think youll dig the way carbon feels. if not, just wish me more rain. that oughta show me.
    No, I'm NOT back!
