Neither Rain Nor Snow Nor Gloom of Night...

...will keep our beloved Brown Santa from his appointed rounds.

I planned a day off today, figured I'd get plenty of little things done, maybe even a ride...snow changed all that.
The good news is it didn't slow down UPS one bit .

Build plans later...much later.

And now a Poseur-Snob declaration: If you only have one Turner, You're off the back!
(yeah I know two bikes are NBD with this crowd...feels goooooood anyway)

Sweeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!! Very anti-bling, gonna have to spice it up with some purple ano or something like that. The donut bin is a nice touch, you can stock up for the snowy days.

I feel so poseur-inferior now with only one Turner...

Very nice. What size spring, 700#?

I just noticed the donut photochop, clever.
{Principal Skinner} Hmm. Whoever did this is in very deep trouble.
{Martin} And a sloppy speller too. The preferred spelling of 'wiener' is w - i - e - n - e - r, although 'e - i' is an acceptable ethnic variant.

I'm having too much fun reading the backflow... I love you guys too!

Not RED??? bu-bu-but the guy swore Grey was the new Red...goodness what will I do?

The "Off the Back" statement was aimed squarely at Rene and SS . SS...your wife's bike only counts if you ride wearing one of Aqua's skirts. Speaking of Aqua and skirts...If you look at the seat tube you'll clearly see the special "Aquabooty-gusset" . I got a big grin when I saw that.

dstix & 2TNE called it. Almost all of the HD stuff xfers over from the Spot and then it goes XC. I will be mounting up that spanky old-school rainbow headbage Rando hooked me up with. Thanks man, this is just what I've been saving it for! The Z1AM will be going up on the classifides.

The DHX spring is 800# (as the Fox flies ) Homer don't play.

I love the Doughnut box. I need a Big arsed Krispy Creme sticker on one and a Brooklyn Brewery sticker on the other.

You can tell the wifes bike was built for me (secretly). Would any sane guy buy Hope mono mini and a sweet adjustable fork for a woman who doesn't care to ride that much???

Here's how I did it Wreck -
Buy your first Turner (for me it was MTBikerX's O2) - restore it - ride it -
Buy a Burner frame - sell the O2
Take the proceeds - buy a Gunnar HT frame - restore it - build it - ride it once - sell it
Take the proceeds - buy a Spot Brand SS - build it - ride it - sell it
Take the proceeds - buy an Azonic Saber frame - restore it -build it - ride it twice - sell it -
Take the proceeds - buy a well loved 5 Spot frame - restore it - build it - ride it - KEEP IT
It only took me 2 years - technically the Spot is all profit, if you don't count all the tool$$ I had to acquire.

Heh, tnx for the clarification Ts.

Okay I've had my fun. You fellas know me well enough to know as beautiful as the grey finish is, it's not me. I picked grey as a saftey JIC I got too stoked to wait for a round trip to crayola. I already had my next color picked out...then it got all popular so I have to think a bit.

BTW I isn't the taco is technically a brace?

'Zilla - I'm sure the SO was delighted to have that all over the dining room furniture. What? Was she away for the weekend? That second shot looks suspiciously like an altar. Put in a couple candles, dim the lights and leave a Krispi Kreme at the shrine each night. You're never going to build that up are you? Just leave it there and worship the Turner Gods.

Now that's funny!!!!!!!

Yo Zilla, was the wife around when you took those shots? Man that frame is sweet...

I have to say, the finely appointed home furnishings and the window bling one-ups my couch and every other "clean" bike shot posted. You have raised the bar to a new level -- no longer will the obligitory leaning against a couch or against a garage door suffice.

Nice colors BTW.

A nice Copper color would match the Alter.

Yep. The RP3 was just to fill the gap.

And is the gap going to be filled with something other than a stock DHX-coil?

Yep, eventually. First it'll be the Stock DHX-C then I'll either get it Pushed or consider one of the new offerings when the dust settles a bit. (CCDB AVYCHBY...)

Thanks for the couch props. One thing I don't have is the Homer Cult altar Cutthroat pointed out, at least not yet...

One funny thing btw, notice how Zilla took the frame to TWO seperate locations to shoot photos, too much free time??? Now that's some new bling excitement!!!

T,

One of my co-workers has pointed out to me... Only way to tell what the true colour of something is... put it next to a dark grey background.

Plus putting a Grey Frame would be great with some Red, ahem, Scarlet bits.

Old thread brah... just in case you didn't know the frame didn't stay grey long ... that was never the plan ... but it all worked out in the end.

Tnx for reading though!

Saw that one a few months ago.

Didn't even click that it was the same bike. Followed linkages from another post in Passion. Can't keep up with everyone, or heck even just Fo's, new bikes.

Still think that Red and Grey are good colours for a bike, and a bunch of other stuff.
