NE1 know the story of this frame?

So I was just checking up on the Turner site for some info and came across the warranty section. I was reading about the trade in program and the pic there is of a Burner totally ripped apart. The caption says "Even this frame has trade in value." I was just curious if anyone knows the story behind it? Is it a frame they trashed just to show the point that anything can be traded in? Or did it get hit by a Mac truck?

Why would I need more than one gear?

That frame is "roadkill", notice that there is only one wheel My guess is the bike fell of a roofrack and was hit by a following car... May she rest in pieces.

There was a thread a while back where some troll was saying that was the best Turner ever. Someone else chimed in and said that it did indeed fall off the bike rack and was run over by a truck. So yes you guessed it right.

Something wrong when you are looking through the wreckage for some salvagable parts. I bet those Avid mechanicals would still work... the Swinger seems to of held together.

that's the bike a built for Danny, i told him "wait 'til tomorrow and we"ll do Backbone trail".
well, he did not, hooked it up to his old trusty rack from where his Gary F never fell off,
no bungy cord or nothing, just clamped on top tub dangling !!!...
up Kanan he went, left on the 101 and 1 exit before Westlake the thing fell off.

    his comments were...
" i saw it fall, slowed down, by the time i changed 1 lane it was hit by a truck,
then another, by the third is said fook it and went home".

I felt real bad for him, specially since he borrowed my Norco Atomik Singletrack rims,
they had 1 ride on them., anyways, went there my self next morning and picked up the parts off
the side of the Hwy, CHiPs showed up and said WTF are you doing, escorted me
to the right shoulder and pointed to a few more parts.

nothing survived, not even the BB nor Bushing, anyways, just gave what was left
to another guy and Manitou sent him a shock. I retain the BB area in case my
    Burner ever blows up.

Original owner went to Hawaii in the Insurance moola.

Think i was more pissed than anyone, hence picked up what was left of it, kind of the
rare Lambo that gets crushed at the pier before it even makes it through customs,
that bike was not even taken for a test on my driveway, THE HORROR !

DT, leave the picture on. it's MY and I never treaten anyone.
anyways, thanks for building such excellent rides
