    Moist in San Diego

The "marine layer" came in and kept things cool & moist (drizzley) today. Rode the hill this morning and actually had to wipe off the glasses a few times. It felt really good!
I know this is nothing to a lot of you, but it was a nice change for this desert land.

Funny thing was, I had to go out to the mountains for work this afternoon, and up above about 2500' it was beautiful! Cool, blue skies w/ a few clouds. This is a great time of year out here!

Only got a couple of boring pix...

Nice pics. One of my favorite riding conditions is where we have a marine layer up to about 1500' and everything on the coast is socked in. I get on my bike, climb for a little while, and voila, blue sky and sunshine. It amazes me when people are complaining about the fog, how close they are to blue sky without trying real hard.

This is what you end up seeing when you're above the marine layer:

I'm planning to sneak out of work tomorrow at lunch to be pedaling by 1. The trail should be great due to the much needed drizzle!

2T, that's a great shot! I love it when you can see the hill tops poking up thru the fog and they look like islands out in the ocean...

jod, yup! Gotta love it when the DG gets wet and tacky

i dont give an eff about aqua.....he is just cranky as usual.

it is a picture from my favorite 50 mile ride.....out in Ojai in Ventura County. Pic above is from the climb up Sisar.

Here is another pic from the top of Nordoff ridge, from that same ride, showing the valley where the climb starts.

A great single speed ride.....but has the option for some more technical downhills too which i will add in next time when I do this ride instead on my new "real" bike

Did you put the Gore Tex on?

Come on up to Washington, we have had almost 10" in November alone! We may break our record rainfall for one month ever. You had better rebuild that fork. That water might get by those seals and corrode the internals

We had a light drizzle in the SF Bay area earlier today--when I rode China Camp today the sun was actually out . . Of course, now it's raining . . . I'm guessing you get the storms a few hours before we do . .
