Lurker gets a Turner (pack pix)

Got my pack in today. Take a look:

    out of the box

Macro of chain stay. I'm very impressed with the machining marks, nice touch

    'nuther macro of the finish/detail

60 minutes later, ready to roll

Never owned XTs. The install was a breeze. Seem stiff on the driveway test

li'l carbon porn never hurt anybody

Weighs in at just under 34.5 lbs. My goal was 35 so I'm very happy with the weight. I just sold my sinister splinter and right now the Turner seems like a nice replacement. Planning to test it out tomorrow. Will post a ride report later in the weekend.

This forum is a wealth of knowledge and I'm glad it's here. It influenced me a lot on my parts spec. Thanks!

    Very nice! Congratulations.

So I'm guessing that Turner didn't face the BB shell because it's not necessary with the anodized frames?

Thanks and yes, that would be my guess. I've never owned an ano frame. I felt compelled to chase the threads but there was no need, smooth as butta.

Dont take this wrong bro, you should have sold the Avids along with the Mini's and buy some real brakes!

    Forgot to mention, very nice!

Man that's sharp! Great shots sweet spec!
nice lighting too...I was going to try some glamor shots of my yet to be built frame since
'Wreck asked so nicely but you've got that covered in spades.

    Well done!

Nice rig Tiles. Get that thing dirty at PWs on Sat. Sub 35 lbs, thats good. You usually have 30 lbs in wheels and tires alone.

I'm guessing you went with the medium, huh?

Heading to PW's in about an hour. 30lbs in wheels and tires - now that's funny

Yup, it's a medium. Perfect fit, I likes

Thanks for all the other comments, I'm looking forward to today's ride. It may produce some action shots

I'm thinking of getting my spot painted this green. Olympic powedercoating was way cheaper that Spectrum, and I guess they already do the paintwork for Turner.

Does anyone know the actual cost of having a frame stripped and anodized by Olympic? Cause that green is driving me nuts!

I was quoted $130. Because the green was a two step process. That included stripping old frame. Spectrum wanted $250 for the same color.

Is that Turner Logo on the downtube a sticker? Or is it painted on?

OMG that's quite cheap! I expected something outrageous. It's a pity I live in France and I have to go to a car paintshop.
    Thanks for the info anyhow.

Thanks, I realised that when browsing OP site where there is no mention of anodizing.

Got some ride time in on it today. I'm impressed. Definitely undersprung so I'm going to get a 600# spring on order asap. I can't wait to ride it some more. I took both bikes with me where I went today so here's a couple of unrelated jumpin' pix, fun times for sure. more pix here

didn't want to jump the turner much since it is so undersprung for me. still managed about 6 miles on it. Just lovely...
