I hope someone could find a Nashbar coupon to stack onto it.

I reckon those tires would be nice for me to make Blue Mountain runs.

    'Zilla? What do you think?

    Absolutely!
Just make sure you have a spare set waiting at the bottom...and the top...and maybe a set halfway down.

What the hell they're cheap right?

K, enough said. I'll stick with the Fire XC's.

At the moment my favorite setup is Schwalbe Fat Alberts up front, and Nokian NBX in the rear. Hard core, pipe-hittin mideval mofos. They shed mud no problemo and grip as well as anything else I've tried around here thusfar.
    (my limited opinion)

i'm xc oriented, so i'm looking for decent weight tires that can be a bit aggressive. I'm always trying to switch from the Fire XC's, but can never find anything to replace them. Maybe the Cinders.

If you're XC oriented and choose your lines, and don't scrape around the rocks the Contis are actually pretty good tires. If you're agressive they'll get sliced and diced in no time flat.

Ever try the Hutch Spiders? Narrow profile for a 2.3 and fairly light too.(Hutch claims 645g on 2.3s) I got a wire bead UST set for ~$14 ea from Performance (last summer) They'll be going on my Spot when I build it back up with an XC kit. Performance has the Hutch Spider Airlight for $19.00 right now. Add on W213 - 10% off and it's a decent deal too.

The Cinders are good in the dry and on rock but they suck on anything muddy as they don't clear too well, sort of a half way house between the XC Pro and the Trailblaster which rolls faster.
I have the Trail blaster's on the HT and a 2.1 Cinder for the rear of the Spot in summer
