Which Inset for my new Spot?

I just received my new ORANGE '12 5-spot. Quite excited! I was wondering which CK headsets people have used on them? I am running an 1 1/8th straight Lyrik U-turn with the DH damper. I know it is either the Inset 1 or the Inset 7. The difference being the external cup on the bottom cup of the Inset 7 (and the need for the devolution baseplate because of my straight steerer tube).

Are there clearance issues with fork hitting the frame with the Inset 1?

Will the Inset 7 raise up the front of my bike needlessly? When I am running it at 160mm will it be too slack?

The only real advantage I see to the inset 7 is being able to upgrade to a tapered fork in the future.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No need for the inset 7 unless you want to raise the front of your bike (or plan on adding a tapered fork in the near future).
There are no clearance issues with a Lyric and zero stack headset on the Spot, I am running that set up myself.
The Cane Creek 110 headsets are worth a look as well, they are the only direct competitor to King for durability imo.
    Enjoy your new Spot!
