    How are the El Camino's

Has anyone tried these brakes who can give a comparison between them and Juicy's or Margura's? I've had a set of Hayes brakes for five years (?) or more. New pads and I get the fluid changed about every 12 to 16 months and they still stop the bike. Instead of modulation I 'feather the brakes' brief squeezes for slow speed switch backs etc. But, I wouldn't mind uping the technology curve on the front end.

My bikes is a Burner and I weigh about 175 but I'm interested in a 180 mm for enhance modulation. I've heard that on the best brakes you get more modulation with 180 than 160 mm.

    Thanks for the input.

    stick with what you like

It sounds like you have been happy with Hayes.
My issues with the El Caminos are very petty, more of an annoyance than anything.(lever ergonomics, flimsy loose feeling lever)
    They are very powerful
    Quiet in all conditions
    Modulate extremely well
good pad retraction so they rarely rub.
good pad life and easy to change.
solid tech support and company in general.
Originally I though I would need the larger rotor because that is what I was used to but I think that they would be too powerful/less modulation.

Magura FR Louise are really good as are the Avids but I would stick with the Hayes.
    I've been inside too long.
