Smile Homers on parade on Hurricane Rim/Gould/JEM trails

Another great day in St. George (albeit without Rando ). Today we spend 3 hours in a fierce, hot wind, making our way around the rather lengthy 25-mile loop of cruising out Hurricane Rim, up Gould's Rim, and coming down the JEM trail. Tons-o-fun.

Crossing a bit of broken limestone with Flying Monkey Mesa in the background (which they launched monkeys off of strapped into simulated fighter cockpits while testing out ejection seats, back in the day...)

A bit o climbing along Hurricane Rim with the Virgin River below in the gorge:

    Yet more climbing...

Uphill still some more. Getting close to the foot of Gooseberry Mesa:

Finishing up back on Hurricane Rim after a tear-evaporating scream down the JEM trail, feeling like a crisp piece of bacon:

Tomorrow's mission: Little Creek Mesa, then drive to Moab.
My video techniques can be found in this thread.
