I know this isnt the shock and fork forum. But it seemed to make sense to ask the question of the knowledgable folks on this forum as well as the name of the valve involved!
I am rebuilding my old SID 100 for light duty use. Does anyone have any tricks for getting the lock ring out of the bottom of the stantion? I have read all the instructions from both RS and the AngryAsian and they make sense in theory. In practice it is almost impossible to depress the 'Homer Valve while simultaneously prying up the lock ring.' Does anyone have any insight?
