    FrankenTurner 5Spot/RFX

I have a large 04 RFX frame and a Medium 05 5Spot frame. I have the RFX built for Trail/FR/DH with a Lyrik 160 and Avy DHS rear shock. I am looking to change it up a bit and go a little more aggressive trail. I'm considering throwing the 5Spot main frame with Romic Shock on the RFX rear with 6" rockers. Anyone have any experience with this set up?

Err, I don't think there was an 04 RFX? 6 pack maybe?

6 pack was 05-06, he has an RFX.

You can do that, I think you will get a longer wheelbase giving more stability descending. I think you will be fine climbing, especially techy climbing. I liked my RFX's better than my 5 spot's for that.

Go ahead and try it, you've got nothing to lose. Could be fun.

S-works did you do any swapping out of rear triangles? I am also considering throwing the spot rear on the RFX main frame. Ive read some threads on that and people seem to enjoy it.

I havent been able to find any posts about 6 spots, i would like to try throwing the 6" rockers on the spot. Anyone have any links to threads regarding 6Spot experimenting?

Turner does not list the RFX in their 2004 catalogue. It was absent, hence the welcoming of the 2005 six pack.

That's what I was referring to, as I had the 2005 6 pack.
