I have one of the new XTR shifter pods coming for the rear which will allow me get the shift levers out away from my grips- which is going to be really nice.

yeah, i was thinking about how cool those wheels would look, but i think they're a little bit lighter blue. so, my new plan is to build some wheels- pewter king hubs, black spokes and black arch rims- BLUE nipples. i think the classic look of a triple cross will look better. i also have a blue fizik aliante saddle i need to put on it and a super light kcnc scandium and ti seatpost.

    So, when are you visiting....??

We're thinking Feb/Mar. Good time? I'd like to do the Whiskey too. I liked the riding in Flagstaff.

You know, our honeymoon was on an Otis Guy tandem, fully loaded for touring, from San Diego to Tucson in 1995. It was October and really hot and... I still owe her a real honeymoon.

I'm running the DT-Swiss 340 XC wheels on my Flux, set up tubeless. They're great, especially since I'm not light either. King - Arch will be perfect for that bike!

    My new "oldie" Flux

So, I finally got to build the 2005 Flux I got from Superstock.
Not as light as I planned, but, very capable at 9,380 gr or 21.66 lb with heavy rubber, Snakeskin 2,25 Racing Ralph on front and RR Double Defense in the rear, 2x9 drivetrain and a Durin SL 100 fork.
And, yes, I already adjusted the saddle position.

I've had my Flux for over 3 years now. I've owned, traded and sold a few 29ers. I thought that I might replace my Flux a year ago with a Jet9, but it never felt as good or was as much fun to ride as my Flux. And it broke, of course. I just love my Flux. I'll throw in some time on my SS every once in a while, but nothing flows like this bike. I will keep it until it breaks or forever ... hopefully the latter.
Over the years, I've swapped bits and pieces. Now, the only things left from three years ago are the headset, seatpost and seatpost collar. Most recently, I tacoed my front wheel and decided to get a whole new set built up. It won't look this nice for long, so I had to take some pictures!
