I have a 2012 Flux frame XL on the MTB ads. No response at all. DT said that sales were not great for this frame, 29r's taking over the xc realm, but what a great frame. If the Burner is any indication - can't wait for the Flux reincarnation.

Just bought an XS flux for the Mrs, arrived a few days ago. Going to build it up a bit more trail orientated than XC. If it was a large I would have kept it for myself.

After not owning any Turners for a few years, you forget how well they are built and the attention to the small details.

Not trying to be rude, but it's probably because your frame with a used shock is the same price as a brand new one from Turner. I agree that the Flux is a great bike.

Can't understand why these bike's resale value is so low. I picked up a 2010 for a steal (well under $700) and it is the best bike I have ever ridden for my terrain and style, and I've had some good bikes over the years.

No rudeness taken, you may be correct and I will be lowering the price.

i've had brand new flux for sale all year long with a top build for around 3k, and nobody wanted to buy it. Decided the other day to transform it into a trail rocket again and just keep it - for now at least. I'm stupified that it hasn't been sold sooner, but based on that experience i can totally relate to Turner pulling the plug on the Flux.

My spot is my prefered weapon of choice however, so time will tell how much use the Flux will see. It is however, a beautiful bike - truly stunning. Guess i will have to post some photos when the transformation back to a trail rocket is complete.

I agree. I would even argue that the Flux is one of the top 26r 4" travel xc/trail frames ever made. I had no intention of buying another bike at the time I demoed it but that all changed after one ride. The transition to the 29r as the standard for the xc wheel size has killed an absolutely great bike but looking forward to demoing the new xc model(s?) from Turner.

Yeah, I have a feeling they wont really let the Flux die. I bet a replacement wont come for a year or two though. Hopefully it will be a 120mm 650b bike with a slightly longer TT. With the market stuck on short travel carbon 29ers I think an aluminum short travel 650b will stand out.

I think that there would be a market for the Flux 275 but will sales of the original flux dampen Turners enthusiasm for the 650b version, especially with essentially a Flux 29r carbon in the works? Maybe if I bought a 29r and rode it long term it would grow on me but the middle wheel feels like the right size, even for xc.

    The Flux will rise again.

Will it have a pull shock which confuses general trail users though?? ;)

I heard that if everything goes well it will be about 6 mos for the Czar - mid 2013 but I'm sure they won't be announcing it this far out. If fox comes out with a fork for the 275 wheel I bet he could move quickly on an short travel aluminum xc if there is enough interest.

Thanks for the info. Would love to see this happen next year. I have been "Turner-less" for a few years now. Said farewell to my Flux in 2010, and have been waiting patiently for DT to introduce a more XC Sultan (preferably carbon).
I'm pulling the trigger on a replacement for my Racer-x 29er early next year and had narrowed it down to the Pivot 429C or the Ripley. If that 6 month timeline is accurate I would definitely hold out for the Turner.

2008 front triangle/rockers with 2006 Horst Link rear end, best of both worlds.

How about a Flux 650 Carbon? That sounds good to me anyway but it's not clear if the 650 will carve a slot into the 29r mkt.
