5spot doesn't have iscg tabs on bb shell. i guess you could sandwich the backer plate between the shell and bb bearing cup (assuming you are running external bearings) but the plate will move around if it is hit on a rock or something. not sure y u would need a chain guide on a spot anyway.

Yes, the BB mount version of the DRS fits up perfect!

Yep, you'll need to mount it behind the BB shell. It works great, I was late to the party on getting a DRS and I wished I had done it much sooner. I haven't lost my chain since!

Yup! Ran mine that way for 3 seasons on the 04 Spot and now its on my RFX. Never once had a chain drop or any movement of the guide plate.

I'm with you. The DRS is my favorite chain retention system for dual chain rings. I run them on my Spot and IH 6Point.

The BB mount version can also be mounted to ISCG-Old tabs. You can see a picture of it here: http://www.e13components.com/product_drs.html

There is also an ISCG-05 version (not shown in the picture) that does not mount to the BB.

No details have been released yet, but there is a new DRS+ coming. It got the same treatment as the new SRS+ and LG1+. No timeline on availability yet, we're still full bore on the existing DRS, actually our shop in Leominster, MA is assembling a DRS production run today!

I've had a DRS on my Spot for at least 3 years. Kickarse.
Hey _dw has the roller changed? I loved the soft roller but the small bearings wore and seized quickly. I still run it but modded with a 'Spire wheel bolted on. I'd liked the alignment and silence of the stock design better though. The chain moved through the steps better in the stock config as well.
Faster is better, even when it's not.
