    Dw link disassembly

    Any link that discusses the proper way of disassembling and re installing of the dw link? Thanks!

    I did mine the other week and all went well.

    I used the PDF guide for the pre DW link Turner on their webpage as a reference.
    Even though my link hardware had significant wear see photos (I rode all through the winter in muddy UK!!) it has been rebuilt to be better than new. Replaced the standard DU bushings on my shock with Fox low friction ones too.

    My advice is to find something suitable to push the old bushing out with, such as a hard plastic rod, something that wont mar the aluminium frame housing. I didn't have any thing to hand and ended up using what I could find in my toolbox, being the blunt end of a 10mm diameter drill bit.

    Take your time with it , being methodical and it's quite enjoyable. I did have to get the soft hammer out to push the lower links on to the hex shafts. Dang those things were a tight fit!

    Note also that there are 3 sizes of those rubber ring things in the pack.
