DT knows what he's doing - we know that..
An interesting view on the late Highline in this Antonio Osuna's blog: Linkage Design: Turner.
And his quote: .."If Turner had it remained in production and had evolved a bit it would become one of the best frame in enduro market..." (It's a Google translation from Spanish, pardon for inaccuracy)

Civilization ends at the waterline. Beyond that, we all enter the food chain, and not always right at the top.

Neither do I. That's one click task on Translate button at the right top of the page .
But the key of his review was :"..talk about old models who made a difference in his time and that have historical significance in the world of MTB..." when we didn't even use the term of anti-squat. It show DT art-work has met the criteria of modern bike design.
And we know there is a gap in this what so called enduro class in Turner line up today.

Well, glad that's all settled.
Nice KOM, sorry about your penis.

I think they call them Dual Sport nowadays. You know, headlights, turn signals, a license plate.

Pedal a little, bomb downhill a long time.

Enduro isn't really enduro in the dirt bike sense of the word. It's kind of horse sh*t if you ask me. If it were dirt bike style it'd be much cooler.

Yeah, I've been wondering too.

Shoot, our local enduro (PKA Super-D) was pretty cool, and a real test of overall mtb skill and aerobic conditioning.
Too difficult, apparently.
Now the clock stops on the uphill segments. You can actually be shuttled between sections, if you find the climbs too arduous.
Just kill me now.

Enduro=can't have fun w/o shuttling. Which is sad, just what we need, more radness and flow trails and shuttle gypsies. What ever happened to real mtb'ing? Go big, huck hard, see you in the trauma unit.

I find it dumb that the uphills aren't clocked in a lot of the races now.

I guess just another term for bike manufacturer to create another model...
And RFX should not be falling under this category Dave

Judging by the new Turner ad banners it looks like DT figured it out.
5 Spot - The Original Enduro Racer
Good to know.

I agree. The 5 Spot or Burner would make a much better enduro mount than the Highline. In real enduros (not glorified Super Ds) you have quite a bit of climbing involved with penalties for arriving late.... and the timed descents have significant flat or climbing sections involved. It's basically like going on a long AM type loop ride with your buddies but with number plates attached to your bars. Goof off, chat, BS on the climbs with your buds, then bomb the downs, then chat, compare times, laugh as you climb up to the next timed sections. Pretty much a competitive, tough, group ride with trophies if done correctly..... and tons of fun.
See: Fears Tears and Beers MTB Enduro.
