    Differences in Flux - '09 '10 & '11

I am trying to find the differences in the DW Flux models - 2009 - 2011. Can any one point me to a thread or provide the answer?

    Thanks.

9 and 10 not a lot, maybe a gusset on the shock mount.
    11 changed to a 44 headtube.
    Rolling on 29", 650b, 8.3" and 23mm

For '10 they improved on the cable routing and added the gusset.

For '11 they added cable routing for a dropper seatpost. The '11 also has the burrito and slightly tighter cable routing for the rear der. The frames are also anodized instead of PC.

Actually, it's the '12's that have a 44mm headtube as well as a larger top tube and 12x142mm rear.

I don't believe the headtube changed to 44 mm till the new 2012' Flux's. The gusset at the bottom shock mount is the biggest structural difference from the 2009's. Taco was modified to welded on the top in 2010, burrito in 2011. Cable routing is a little cleaner on the newer models plus Turner dropped the raw rear triangle.

My bad on the headtube, I'd forgotten that they weren't getting it until '12.

Thanks for the replies. I am looking at adding a Flux and the Chain Reaction deals are pretty good on the '10s ($1198) especially given the minimal changes ('09s are even more of a steal).

Those are good prices. They have the 2010 Spot and Sultan for just under $1200 as well... plus the coupon codes.

Man, those prices are really tempting me to build up a Flux (already have a TNT 5 spot which I love). So is the 2010 frame worth the extra $ over the 09, which is quite a deal?

There are such minor differences between the years, probably not. Resale value is probably not an issue either.

    Couldn't help myself

I went for an 09 Flux in raw. I'm happy riding my 05 Flux, but decided at the Chain Reaction prices, it was too good to pass up

Looks like the '09's are sold out now. I am thinking about the 5 Spot... Guess I better decide soon.

yup, I waited too long too and missed out on the flux. I am also thinking of the spot. I have a tnt spot and really love it. Please don't tell me the dw is that much better, lol. It's almost like I have a personal relationship with my tnt, lol, hate to abandon it.

Why not think about the Sultan? seems like it would compliment your flux nicely

Yeah, I let the deal pass by while thinking about it. I need to build the wife a bike first before I get another one.
