    Difference Between 07 and 08 X9 Triggers

Wondering if is worth upgrading from 07 to 08 X9 Trigger Shifters. Thanks. My Sultan will be totally SRAMed out. Truvativ Cranks, Reba Team, Avid Elixir CRs, and Sram X9 Drivetrain.

The newer X9s shift a bit more crisply IMO. I used to really like the gear indicators, but after a few rides did not miss them much. The newer ones are nicer quality materials overall. So, yes, upgrade if you have the itch.

In fact it is hard to tell any appearance differences between my 07s and the 08 photos I've seen on line.

I don't think there's much of a difference, certainly not worth changing if you've already got the '07's.

They both have Redic-u-stupid cable access.

    But T's fix is rad.

That said I'd prefer Shimano any day if they didn't employ shady business tactics.

I gotta say while I like the light touch of the Shimanos better, and their cable access is quick and easy, SRAM kicks their butt in holding a tune and quick and stable tweaks on the fly.

Ts mod is another great Why didn't someone think of that before?

When I've had to change the cable on mine I've just painted the cut end with a blob of nail polish, so it can easily slide around the stupid feed.

    You use nail polish?
    What color?
