    The Desert Rocks

Tidbits from Tucson & Phoenix South Mountain.

Ran into Robbie aka Luckystrike casually cleaning the waterfall up and down on his Highline. I was so starved for saddle time didn't take many ride shots, but will post up a GIF of Robbie on these lines later.

Props to SW Trekking down in Tucson for tours and Arizona Outback for proper MTB rentals in Phoenix.

Nice photos, but that is Ronnie. He is running around on FM's old Highline. Putting it to good use.

    Great pics Moose

I love those trails I did a cx race today and froze my ass off . Snow and cold temps with lots of wind. That looks like a lot more fun. I miss AZ.

I recently learned that lizard is a Chuckwalla Pretty cool. Great shots, Moose. I'd like to see that line up the waterfall, too. When I saw it, I was pretty sure it could be done but didn't see anyone hit it or have the time to try, try, try, try, try it myself.

Great photos, Moose! How big is that lizard? That's one scary looking creature.

Ronnie makes it look easy. It ain't. This is the first and hardest section of the waterfall as you go up. There looked to be alternative, sphincter clenching, descent lines on the upper two sections.

    Ronnie Downs

I was so stunned he was cleaning the ascent, I stopped shooting and watched in awe when he boosted the upper bench. This was his third attempt and he was describing the moves as he was making them.

    Amazing.

Last time I was there, I made it to that upper bench (where you stopped taking photos), then stalled and flipped over backwards on the final move. Not fun. I wish you had the entire series on film. I can only think he is carrying major momentum into that final lift. I thought maybe he had a different line or something, but it looks to be just muscle
