    Czar Tweener Sizing

My apologies if this is bad forum form. If so, let me know.

Iím in a sizing dilemma as well, and have scoured this forum and read multiple threads multiple times including the setup thread.

In the process of ordering a Czar. Iím coming from a 2008 Medium Sultan. ETT of 23.5Ē, 100mm stem, and 645mm bars. Pretty comfy there. My measurements from the CC calculator method are below. Iím not sure if I should go down to the 23Ē M Czar or the 23.8Ē L. Since my bars are narrow by todayís standards I plan to widen those and knock off some stem length either way. Iíd just have to do it more on the L. Iím in the Midwest and Iíd say our trails are average, meaning not flat nor mountainous, not smooth nor extra chunky, not wide open nor piles of spaghetti, etc.

Has anyone been in my shoes, match my size, have advice, etc? Thereís no demos nearby and Iím trying to avoid buying a plane ticket.

Thank you so much for anything that you can offer!

When in between sizes.... go UP a frame size and down the stem length. Take another stem increment off for wider bar, even on an XC bike.

    Happy trails,

It didn't stop me on the RFX thread!

I'm similar dimension to you. I have a large Czar, 80mm stem and 720mm bars and it fits perfectly, the best fit bike I've ever had. Previously I always rode medium Turners and 18" bikes from other brands. I can almost guarantee you will be better off on the large. A mate of mine has a medium Czar, and even eye-balling it, let alone riding it, I'm can tell it would be too small for me.

Great bike. You will love it.

I'm your height (but 1" shorter inseam) and I moved from a med 5 Spot to a large Flux 27.5 on DT's advice and I realized I should have never been on a medium Turner. I couldn't imagine ever going back to more cramped TT with a longer stem and/or setback post.

I also rode a 08 Med sultan for a few years, now on a large czar. could not be happier with the fit. same inseam, just a bit taller. wider bars shorter stem, and done.

I'm 5' 9" went for a large with 55mm stem and 750 wide bars feels great, may just try a 50mm, came from a medium Niner jet9 60mm stem and 720 bars.

Let me exploit the thread. I am 6'3'' with cca 36'' bottom to crotch, that means a tweener between xl and xxl right? So I should go size up?

So I should go size up?
Yeah, I reckon so based on my experience at medium vs large Czar.

Like what Mr Turner himself said up there ^^^
