My idea of a couch shot from today's (5/2) lunch ride. I made little couch arms, but, dang it, I was post holing and my hands were freezing. So this is it!
Sheesh MW, those rims look rad, look cool with all the writing etc taken off...... Any bike is all good, so long as its on a couch.........................

I don't know if I'd call it magic .. hypnotic maybe .. but not magic.
Geez Harriet, you sound a *little* jealous.
This is the best I could do with the smiley stuff...
naaahhh...not jealous...just givin' ya a little crap! admittedly though, it is a very impressive couch!
hypnotic???? um...dare i ask???
as for the smileys...not bad for a smiley rookie!

SBK's Sultan does look the ducks nuts in his couch shot.... That bike is a very styly looking machine........
Thanks Whafe, I'm truly digging that bike so far. A friend helped set it up tubeless/Stans, and it's one fast-rolling, bump/root eatin' machine. A really great bike to ride and enjoy the trails!

I often think of 29er's, as anyone does, apart from some of the bling bling Ti 29er's, your bike is the nicest looking 29er I have seen, really mean that.... The colour of the frame and fork...
aaarrggghhhh, as we say in New Zealand, "its the ducks nuts"....

O-k Homers, here's my take on this whole "couch thing."
For those with too much free time in their cubicles - I know there are no grips, shifter cables, chain, and the brake line zip ties need to be cut. I KNOW!!! I did that after I took this shot, I was losing light last night and I wanted to get the photo before it got dark.
I actaully went on a short midnight session around downtown Anchorage trying to get the shifting tuned. In true Homer fashion, it felt GREAT dropping off curbs and going down a couple steps that must have been at least 12 feet (measured in CCU's).
Dang Harriet, where'd the face bouncing on that cool RED couch come from?
um...Chris...i hate to be the one to tell you...but you're missing grips, and shifter cables, and a chain...and you may want to cut those brake line zip ties while you're at it!

It started as a Raceface, but the chain rubbed on it when I was in the middle ring and the 11t in the rear, so I hit the backside with a sander to round it off a bit so the chain wouldn't rub. Since I had it off and since I hated the goofy white RF logo on the black background, I hit the front with the sander too. Then I busted a little steel wool to smooth the finish. Looks trick.
I just picked this up today, crazy thing is I'm still waiting for my 2007 med. deep red Spot. But I got this to help me throught the next month or two of waiting, my LBS made me a offer I couldn't refuse. I will be selling this when the other frame arrives, can't afford two Turners at this time. But for now I can at least ride.
I bet you will manage yourself to keep the both of them, I was in the same dilema as you, I am waiting for my medium 5Spot to arrive, in the mean time I got my 6pack just to keep on riding, and let me tell you this thing is like a virus. Mine have coil both font and rear and I am already understand why some choose coil over air althogh the weitgh increment, not to mention the 6" of rear travel said that, I found the way to built the Spot too when it arrives.
Enjoy it I am sure you will
I see your couch...

Bend, Oregon. Proof you don't have to die to get to heaven.
ORVH, What is up with those rockers. My frame is a 2005 and yet all the other pix I see have black rockers. Perhaps someone, who knows Turners better than I , can shed some light on this.
Ya can't just order any couch, it needs to be "RED" "Pushed" and come with "cool aid" cup holders, internal bike stand, back scratcher and DVD mtb remote drive, sram gearing, I9 retractable wheels, thomson stem bag chip holder

TA,
You listed all 'that' and forgot to mention the EBM??? Dude you're slackin!
This is my baby. I have waited for years to have a ride this sweet. I am about 255 soaking wet and live in the Denver metro area. Trails are very rocky and technical. Way out of the league for my original steed an S Works FSR (3.75 inches of travel). And now I can almost tackle anything (that I don’t freak out on…and there is a lot of that around here!)
- King hubs 36 hole 14 straight gauge brass nipples and King head set
- Rock Shox Revelation fork
- Thomson stem and post
- Shimano XT derailleur’s, chain cassette and LX cranks with bash guard Sram X7 shifters
- Avid Juicy 7’s 203/185’s
- WTB race saddle
- Kenda Nevegals DTC 2.35 by far nicest tires yet and got a set for 29 bucks on close out @ REI!!! And lite weight tubes.
- Easton 50 alloy high risers lock on Oury grips
- Shimano 520 clip less pedals
